The final order of speakers has been determined, but we like to keep that on the quiet side to create a slight element of suspense (and also because we found last year that we needed to juggle the schedule at the last minute). We are in the process of sending out emails to all who registered with details for the day, but it has been requested that we post the schedule on the blog. Here is how the day will unfold:
12:30 pm Registration opens in the lobby of the Princeton Public Library
1:00 pm Optional eXploration Sessions (happening concurrently)
Cooking Demonstration with Executive Chef Christopher Albrecht of Eno Terra. Christopher Albrecht will take his inspiration from seasonal offerings at the Princeton Farmer’s Market and create some delectable dishes before your eyes.
Discover the Tossibilities! Learn to juggle with professional juggler Jen Slaw. Learning a new skill like juggling, in which the body and mind are fully engaged, has been shown to increase both grey and white matter in the brain, as well as improve hand-eye coordination, focus, balance, sense of rhythm, body awareness and control of movement, stamina, and discipline. It can boost self-confidence and ultimately become a meditative exercise…and it’s fun! Workshop participants will work individually and collaboratively towards the goal of mastering the basic 3 object juggle.
Discover the art of Zentangle with Rose Crawford: Discover the new and creative art called Zentangle. In this introductory class you will experience the satisfaction of completing your own unique, finished piece of art and enjoy the meditative quality this wonderful art form has to offer. This class is for those who have no previous art training or drawing experience as well as experienced students who want to learn this specific technique. A starter kit is included.
